Russian scholar Natalia Volchkova, a Fulbright
Visiting Scholar at Harvard University’s Department

UWA awarded federal
grant to enhance teacher ed for African Americans
The University of West Alabama Tutwiler College of
Education today announced a $1,052,000 grant from
the U.S. Department of Education to establish a
program that increases the number of African
Americans entering teacher education and becoming
master teachers capable of breaking the cycle of
poor education provided in rural Black Belt schools. |
