LIVINGSTON,
Ala.—The
University of West Alabama invites child care
providers to the fourth annual quality child care
conference sponsored by the College of Education.
“All About You,” a free one-day conference, features
sessions on nutrition, stress management and a
variety of other topics. The conference will be held
Saturday, Oct. 28 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the
Bell Conference Center.
The event’s key note speaker is Andria Hurst, food
editor for Southern Living and All You
magazines. Other presenters include UWA faculty,
child care experts and Rep. A.J. McCampbell. The
conference also provides six hours of training
credit from the areas of concentration required for
licensing by the Alabama Department of Human
Resources.
In a continued effort to meet the needs and
interests of child care providers, students and
parents in the region, UWA is offering the
conference is conjunction with the River Valley
Family Child Care Association (Greene, Hale and
Sumter Counties), Auburn University’s Family Child
Care Partnerships and the Family Guidance Center in
Montgomery.
The quality child care conference is free, but
pre-registration is required by Oct. 14. For more information,
