LIVINGSTON,
Ala.--The
University of West Alabama invites child care
providers to the fifth annual quality child care
conference sponsored by the Julia Tutwiler College
of Education. “Working in Harmony,” a free one-day
conference, features sessions on diversity,
inclusion, child development, positive guidance and
a variety of other topics. The conference will be
held Saturday, Oct. 27 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the
Bell Conference Center.
Conference presenters include UWA faculty and child
care experts. The conference provides six hours of
training credit from the areas of concentration
required for licensing by the Alabama Department of
Human Resources. Lunch will also be provided by UWA.
In a continued effort to meet the needs and
interests of child care providers, students and
parents in the region, UWA is offering the
conference is conjunction with the River Valley
Family Child Care Association (Greene, Hale and
Sumter counties), Auburn University’s Family Child
Care Partnerships and the Family Guidance Center in
Montgomery.
The quality child care conference is free, but
pre-registration is required by Oct. 16. For more
