LIVINGSTON,
Ala.—Six
students from across Alabama will vie Thursday, Feb.
7 for the title of Miss University of West Alabama.
The annual public program will select a campus
representative to the Miss Alabama pageant, a Miss
America preliminary held this summer in Birmingham.
The pageant begins at 7 p.m. in Bibb Graves
Auditorium. Admission is free.
The contestants include (by hometown):
ANDALUSIA—Elementary education major Traneshia
Stoudemire, who will perform a dance to Van
Morrison’s “Moondance.”
GALLION—Nursing major Savanna Dickson, who will sing
“Old Time Rock and Roll.”
GILBERTOWN—Nursing major Jessica Tucker, who will
perform a piano solo, “Almost Lover.”
JACKSON—English major Stevi Bolen, who will sing
“Via Dolorosa.”
LIVINGSTON—Elementary education major Kaley Hayden,
who will perform a piano solo, “Bewitched.”
NORTHPORT—Nursing major Mahalia Gray, who will sing
“Time to Say Goodbye.”
