UWA Student Government Association officers elected

LIVINGSTON, Ala.--University of West Alabama students recently selected several of their peers to serve as Student Government Association leaders for the 2008-09 school year.


Recently elected UWA Student Government Association officers include, from left, vice president Blake Meherg, president Hannah Meherg, secretary Jessica Bridgmon and business manager Casey Smith.

 

Hannah Meherg of Deatsville was elected Student Government Association president. A junior English language arts education major, she is the daughter of Joe and D’Aun Meherg. She previously served as SGA attorney general, a senator and a representative.
 

Blake Meherg of Winfield was chosen as SGA vice president. A junior biology major, he is the son of Mike and Amy Meherg. He served as an SGA representative and a senator prior to election as vice president.
 

Casey Smith of Cordova will serve a second term as SGA business manager. A junior majoring in English language arts education, she is the daughter Tim and Lisa Sims. Smith previously served as a freshman senator and as STARS coordinator for the campus.
 

Jessica Bridgmon of Haleyville was elected SGA secretary. A sophomore business administration major, she is the daughter of Billy Bridgmon and Theresa Weeks. Bridgmon previously served as both a representative and a senator.
