LIVINGSTON, Ala.—The
University of West Alabama will honor 324 graduates
during fall commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec.
17, 2005. The ceremony takes place at 10:30 a.m. in
Pruitt Gymnasium on the UWA campus.
Also
during the ceremony, the institution will honor
three inductees into the Golden Key Society: Dr.
Patricia A. DeMay, who served as a UWA professor in
elementary and early childhood education from
1981-2000; UWA alumnus Dr. Jack V. Powell, who
recently retired at the rank of Professor Emeritus,
School of Teacher Education, after 31 years of
service to The University of Georgia; and UWA
alumnus Scott Tew, Ciba Specialty Chemicals’ Head of
Public Affairs in North America.
Guests must have tickets, which are available from
graduates, to attend the ceremony in Pruitt.
Overflow seating to watch the commencement exercises
will be available in Bibb Graves Auditorium and the
Bell Conference Center. |
