LIVINGSTON,
Ala.—The
University of West Alabama National Alumni
Association, in partnership with Meridian Coca-Cola
Bottling Co., will sponsor the UWA/Coca-Cola Golf
Tournament for Academic Excellence Saturday, April 1
at 1 p.m. at the Livingston Country Club. The $160
entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cocktail
reception at the President’s Home and a steak dinner
at the Bell Conference Center with Head Coach Bobby
Wallace as the guest speaker.
“This two-man scramble is a wonderful time for
alumni to catch up and enjoy a round of golf to
benefit UWA,” said Rob McInturf, Director of Alumni
Affairs. “We are especially excited to have Coach
Wallace join us this year at the tournament and as
the speaker at the steak dinner."
Coach Wallace, who took over the football program this week,

the GSC Coach of the Year three straight seasons

Division II National Coach of the Year during that
same span. In 1997, he was named the first Division
II Coach of the Quarter Century, before being
inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in
