BLACK BELT
GARDEN IS GROWING—Horticulturist
Sam Ledbetter supervises construction of new parking
area at Black Belt Garden. Construction began July 7
for a new drive-through visitor drop-off. The new
drive, a feature of the recently completed Black
Belt Garden master plan, will feature staff and
handicapped parking and easy access to the
greenhouse and garden trails. Pre-paving
construction, by Goldman Contractors, first had to
move specimen flowers and a large fossil tree. (July
