SWEET
POTATOES 'R US--The Society of St.
Andrew, a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding the
hungry, unloaded 43,500 pounds of sweet potatoes in the UWA
Wesley Foundation driveway Friday. The potatoes, donated by a
North Carolina farmer, will be distributed to needy families in
the Black Belt and in Mississippi. UWA students and community
volunteers pitched in to bag the yams. (September 9, 2005). |
