Alabama authors--The University
of West Alabama welcomes four Alabama writers,
including critically acclaimed authors Sena Jeter
Naslund and William Cobb, for a panel discussion
moderated by Emmy Award winning host Don Noble.
“It’s All in the Family,” which also includes Naslund’s brother John Sims Jeter and Cobb’s wife
Loretta, takes place Thursday, April 19 at 6 p.m. in
the Bell Conference Center.

Small Business Development Center graduates first
NxLevel entrepreneurial class--The
University of West Alabama’s Small Business
Development Center, in financial partnership the
Greene Sumter Enterprise Community Inc., provided 14
weeks of entrepreneurial training through NxLevel
classes to 21 residents of Choctaw, Greene, Sumter
and Tuscaloosa counties, with the class consisting

gets split with Judson College--The
University of West Alabama softball team broke out
of a four-game skid by splitting with Judson College
Monday afternoon as the Tigers dropped the first
game, 6-4, but bounced back with a 12-4 victory in
six innings in the second contest.

UWA men’s tennis team fell to No. 3 Armstrong
Atlantic State University Saturday afternoon, 8-0 at
