Rep.
Davis kicks off school year--U.S.
Rep. Artur Davis, who represents Alabama's 7th
Congressional District, was on hand Monday to serve
as the first guest lecturer for the Natural History
of the Black Belt biology course. Davis, who is
serving his third term in the House, also hosted a
town hall meeting in the Bell Conference Center that
evening to hear concerns from his Sumter County
constitutes. UWA's Webb Hall is home to one of
Davis' congressional offices. |

Revue, takes the stage Friday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. for
a live taping in The University of West Alabama’s
Bibb Graves Auditorium.

football holds 2007 Media Day--The
University of West Alabama football team held its
2007 media day in the Tiger Room on the Livingston
campus Monday afternoon, providing media from around
the state of Alabama and in eastern Mississippi the
opportunity to
visit with UWA head coach Bobby Wallace, his staff
and players.

Former Tiger named head coach of AFL's Arizona
Rattlers--Former West Alabama
football standout Kevin Guy has been named the new
head coach of the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena
Football League. Guy has signed a multi-year deal to
lead all aspects of the team’s Football Operations
Department.

beginning at 3:30 p.m. prior to the Thursday, Aug.

next to the visitor's side of the stadium. The
