| Three honored with McIlwain Bell awards--University
of West Alabama Provost David Taylor recently
announced the recipients of the annual Loraine
McIlwain Bell Trustee Awards. Becky Amato, Secretary
to the Vice President of Student Affairs, received
the Support Staff Excellence Award. Mitzi Gates,
Academic Coordinator for Upward Bound, was presented
with the Professional Staff Excellence Award. Dr.
John McCall, Professor of Biology and Chair of the
Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences,
was named the 2007 Trustee Professor.

| Central Florida Chapter reception planned--The
Central Florida Alumni Chapter will hold a reception
Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at the Citrus
Club in Orlando. Plan to be there if you live in the
area to see old friends and meet other Tigers. The
Citrus Club is located at 1800 BB&T Bank Tower
(Citrus Center), 255 South Orange Ave., Orlando,
