McCarter named new head men's basketball coach--University
of West Alabama Director of Athletics E.J. Brophy
announced the hiring of Eddie McCarter as the Tigers
new head men’s basketball coach on Monday afternoon,
replacing longtime sideline general Rick Reedy who
retired at seasons end.

blanks Boll Weevils--The
University of West Alabama baseball team completed a
three-game series sweep over the University of
Arkansas at Monticello, blanking the Boll Weevils
7-0 Sunday afternoon at Tartt Field.

falls to Florida Tech, routs Clark Atlanta--The
UWA softball team split the final two games in the
Clark Atlanta Softball Tournament Saturday, losing
5-0 to Florida Tech and beating host Clark Atlanta
23-0.
