three Panhellenic sororities invited new members to
join them during Thursday's Bid Day activities.
Thirty-two young women accepted bids. Alpha Sigma
Alpha welcomed six ladies, Alpha Sigma Tau gained
10, and Phi Mu added 16.

Tigers took the field Thursday night and came away
with an easy win.

take fourth at opening meet--The
UWA cross country teams opened the season Friday
night by placing fourth in the men’s and women’s
event at the fourth annual Cougar Invitational at
Columbus State University.

 Volleyball picks up first win at Belhaven
tournament--Coach Ron Arenz
captured his first win at UWA during weekend action
in Jackson, Miss.
The Tigers went 2-2 in the tournament, beating Rhodes College and host
Belhaven College.
